Borgata Casino in Atlantic City announces next Million Dollar Poker Tournament

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Borgata Poker, in partnership with BetMGM Poker, has announced the next million-dollar venture, Almighty Million. High-stakes poker came back to Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa with "The Return" in January where it crowned a $1 million winner. Almighty Million assures another week of big bets and even bigger pots in this No Limit Hold’Em Tournament. Day 1 flights begin on Sunday, 7 May with the final table taking place on Saturday, 13 May.

“Almighty has been synonymous with Borgata Poker for nearly a decade," said Kellie DeCelis, Borgata’s Manager of Poker Operations. "It's been three years since Borgata offered this type of event as part of the Borgata Winter Open, and Almighty is always one of the most anticipated events on the calendar that brings the same excitement with a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.”

An $800 buy-in provides a 100,000 starting stack that allows poker players of all experience levels to test their luck and skill, while also giving them the ability to take risks and play freely. One of the largest starting chip stacks of any live Hold'Em tournament in the country, Day 1 flights begin Sunday, May 7 and conclude Wednesday, May 10. Once the field reduces, players return on Thursday, May 11 at 11 a.m. for Day 2.

Through a rolling schedule of daily qualifiers and promotions, BetMGM Poker players will have multiple opportunities to qualify for Borgata’s Almighty Million. Beginning on April 23, Players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan will be able to win $2,000 Almighty Million Poker Packages, which includes entry into the tournament, hotel stay, and a $500 cash prize added to the player’s BetMGM Poker accounts.

The winner of the $255 buy-in Ladies Championship Event on Saturday, March 11 receives a $2,000 package for Almighty Million from BetMGM. On-site qualifiers begin on Monday, May 1 in Borgata’s Poker Room. Online qualifiers will be announced on the BetMGM Poker app, with updates coming through the Borgata Poker Twitter page.

"The success of online qualifiers and the fantastic response to "The Return" shows that players want more of these omnichannel events that connect these great brands. BetMGM is excited to continue to partner with Borgata Poker to give players another chance to play at the East Coast's premier poker destination," said Luke Staudenmaier, Director of Poker, BetMGM.

Every hand dealt in this tournament will take place in the largest poker room in Atlantic City, and one of the largest in the country. Online Registration begins on Monday, May 1 exclusively through the BetMGM Poker app. Players can register online until 9 p.m. the night before each Day 1 flight. Players taking advantage of online registration must do so by Tuesday, May 9 at 9 p.m. On-site registration begins on Friday, May 5 at the Borgata Poker Cage. There will be unlimited re-entries for this tournament. Players re-entering the tournament will be given preferential seating assignments and registration during Day 1 flights.
