SunPoker joins iPoker Network

SunPoker has announced on its Web site that it is changing platforms from the Cryptologic Network to Playtech's iPoker Network.

The online poker room says it is making the switch to increase the number of games available to players and improve the quality of tournaments.

SunPoker says it will be sharing more details about the move with players in mid-December. Players will not have to create a new account on iPoker. They can play on the Cryptologic Network until Jan. 31st.

There will be some changes for players. iPoker doesn't allow rakeback. Also, My Poker Points (MPPs) will not be transferable. SunPoker does say, however, it will launch a special promotion after the move that will be based on MPPs players accumulated on the Cryptologic Network.

SunPoker assures players that all funds are safe. Players will be able to transfer funds directly once the move is made.
