Derby Lane will not reopen as previously announced
 

Derby Lane in Saint Petersburg, Florida said in a statement on Tuesday that it will not reopen its poker room next and the public will not be allowed to attend live racing when it resumes, as previously announced".

Instead, live racing will begin on 8 May with no spectators and the poker room will remain closed until further notice.

"After further review, Derby Lane will remain closed to the public. We will begin official live racing on Friday, May 8th. Spectators will not be allowed on property; however, patrons may watch the official races on www.greyhoundchannel.com.

Furthermore, The Derby Lane Poker Room will not be reopening.

When the Poker Room does reopen you can expect us to adhere to all CDC guidelines, as well as implement health and safety precautions for employees and patrons alike.

We look forward to bringing our employees back to work, and inviting patrons back to Historic Derby Lane. Until then, please stay healthy Tampa Bay."
